ex：He walked through the square with a group of followers at his heels.

※ at someone’s heels 可依原意表示身後緊緊跟隨某人（或某物），又延伸表示後面緊跟著競爭對手隨時準備超過你或取代你的位置。

若表示某件事緊跟在另一件事之後，則較常用on the heels of…(ex: There was a flood on the heels of the windstorm. 暴風剛過緊跟著又淹水。)
